Welcome to the Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association (CNWA) web site.

The basic mission of Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association is to support Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria in creating communities where everyone feels safe. The Association also helps support specialist Watch groups such as Farm Watch and Hotel Watch.

The Association is a charitable company run by a Board of Trustees all of whom are volunteers. New Board members are always welcome and if you are interested in getting involved in the work of the Association the Chair, John Perkins (drjohnperkins@aol.com) would be delighted to hear from you.

Besides its web site the Association publishes newsletters, organises regional conferences and supports a County wide messaging service,  which is completely free and easy to join. Just go to www.cumbriacommunitymessaging.co.uk and follow the links to register.

Members of Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria also have access to a national website which has a variety of information and training resources www.ourwatch.org.uk

Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria involves the police, local authorities, community safety partnerships, fire and rescue services and above all individuals and families who aim to make their neighbourhoods better places to live.

Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association works hard to support that aim.

Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria comprises all the types of Watch countywide.

All Area Co-ordinators, registered Neighbourhood Watch Scheme co-ordinators and individuals running the other Watch types are members of CNWA.
