Census 2011

Census 2011 - There is an exciting opportunity for Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria to participate in helping with the census and real opportunities for Neighbourhood Watch members to apply for a wide range of temporary and part time jobs.

Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria and Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association as a major community organisation can help ensure that the census is promoted and delivered appropriately and sensitively in Cumbria.

As the Office for National Statistics (ONS) prepare for the census there will be a number of jobs created locally to help deliver the census. Recruitment for the jobs began last month and will continue throughout the year. Next round of recruitment starts 8 March 2010. There will be a variety of jobs from full time over a reasonably long period, to short part time jobs around the actual census time.

Details of census recruitment can be found at: www.censusjobs.co.uk  or phone 01256 383847 or text phone 0870 609 4219. The ONS are aiming to recruit local people with local knowledge to deliver the census and Neighbourhood Watch members are ideally placed to go for these jobs.
