Hotel Watch

The tourism industry in Cumbria is a vital part of our local economy with 3,330 tourist dependant businesses and a workforce of over 60,000.Hotel Watch is an extension of the 'watch family' and aims to:

There are presently 330 hotels and guest houses registered as members of Hotel Watch in Cumbria, the majority being in the South Lakeland area. All members are connected to the Voice Connect communications which provides the Constabulary with a means by which they can swiftly and efficiently communicate with members. This has resulted in several arrests for crimes relating to members premises and the local community. It has also led to a number of vulnerable missing persons being traced.
