Card Watch

Card Watch raises awareness about all types of plastic card fraud in the UK, and provides information to prevent fraudulent use of credit cards, debit cards, cheque guarantee cards and charge cards.

Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre works across the UK and maximises international links to tackle child sex abuse wherever and whenever it happens. Part of our strategy for achieving this is by providing internet safety advice for parents and carers and delivering a virtual police station for reporting abuse on the internet.

CIFAS

The UK’s Fraud Prevention Service with 260 Members spread across banking, credit cards, asset finance, retail credit, mail order, insurance, investment management, telecommunications, factoring, and share dealing. Members share information about identified frauds in the fight to prevent further fraud. CIFAS is unique and is the world's first not for profit fraud prevention data sharing scheme.

Re-cover (drug advice)

Pass Plus+

In 2006 14 young people aged between 16 and 20 died on Cumbria's roads - almost 25 per cent of the total of all fatalities in the county. It is widely acknowledged that the current driving test does not fully prepare young drivers for the reality of motoring away from the artificial driving lesson environment. Driving instructors often tell their successful pupils: "You have passed your test; now you must learn to drive."Pass Plus+ is more than a bolt on addition to the standard driving test. It teaches vital skills that will help you become a better, safer driver and could save your life.

Secured by Design

Secured by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of "designing out crime" by use of effective crime prevention and security standards for a range of applications.

Smartwater

Smartwater is designed for the protection of general domestic items and commercial assets, such as IT & audio/visual equipment, power tools, and hobby items including golf clubs. Its unique forensic fingerprint is almost invisible to the naked eye, fluoresces under ultraviolet light, and is virtually impossible to completely remove.

Streetsafe

Streetsafe is an ongoing community project which aims to tackle local community problems at a local level. Streetsafe operations are held all over the South of Cumbria covering Barrow Borough Council and South Lakeland District Council.
