Subject: Scams Awareness Month February 2011
Dear Watch Member,
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is launching its Scams Awareness Month on 1st February – 28th February 2011. The aim of the campaign is to increase awareness and understanding of scams to reduce the number of scam victims.
The nationwide campaign calls on consumers to drop scam mailings they have received into designated Scamnesty bins or boxes at local libraries and public areas across the country. Watch members are encouraged to get involved in Scam Awareness Month and take advantage of the free campaign materials available including campaign resource packs, posters, bin stickers, information booklets and web banners.
